2018 Walk & 5K to End HIV on Saturday, December 1!

Due to inclement weather Saturday, October 27th  coupled with our goal of presenting an event that is safe, enjoyable and inspiring to as many members of the community as possible has prompted us to make the decision to postpone this year’s Walk & 5K to End HIV.  We are fortunate to have the ability to move the event date to Saturday, December 1 which is World AIDS Day – another day of great importance to the community.   Location and route are not impacted by the date change.  We’re excited that Whitman-Walker’s 40th anniversary year will culminate with our signature community event, and that it coincides with the 30th Anniversary of World AIDS Day.

Held for the past 32 years, the Walk & 5K to End HIV is Whitman-Walker Health’s signature fundraiser that calls on thousands of Washington, DC area residents to lace up their shoes and walk or run to support WWH’s mission of providing dependable, high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health care to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
